Grit was never going to be enough.
The book Grit helped put a name to a principle behind lasting achievement: passion and perseverance sustained over years.
Having built businesses before, and knowing what the next one would cost, the honest conclusion was that ordinary grit wouldn't cover it. Building real infrastructure — companies, properties, systems that outlast their founder — takes grit raised to a power.
Hence the name. Grit Squared.
What we are

Grit Squared is the parent entity. Each venture operates under its own name and serves its own market, while the company provides the capital, the systems, and the patience to carry it through the stretch between an idea and a business that stands on its own.
Ventures graduate. Some become independent operating companies. Some stay. The parent's job is to make sure the distance between those two states is survivable.
